Days 2-3 At Sea

The Antarctic Peninsula unravels upwards towards South America, reaching out a beckoning finger to the adventurous, who dare to explore this untamed realm. Witness cathedral-sized icebergs up close, and blue-hued glaciers, slowly slipping from imposing locations like Hope Bay. Stretching up from the heart of the world’s southernmost continent, the Antarctic Peninsula lies a mere 620 miles from Tierra del Fuego and, for many, with luxury Antarctic, unique landscapes, and wildlife adding further depth to the experience, giving the call a strong sense of place.

All guests visiting South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands must have an ETA. Silversea will handle the ETA application and cover the cost. If information is incorrect, the Silversea team will not be able to obtain the ETA on your behalf, and you may be required to apply on board at your own expense.
South Georgia rises from the Southern Ocean in a drama of black peaks and white glaciers, an island of almost surreal natural intensity some 1,400 kilometers east of the Falklands. The beaches at Salisbury Plain and St. Andrews Bay hold King Penguin colonies numbering in the hundreds of thousands, scenes of wildlife abundance that rank among the most extraordinary on Earth. Elephant seals and Antarctic Fur Seals occupy every available shore.
Days 12-13 At Sea
Day 14 Carcass Island, Falklands
Despite its dramatic name, Carcass Island is one of the Falklands’ gentlest and most rewarding wildlife sanctuaries. Home to Magellanic and Gentoo penguins, geese, and a remarkable variety of land birds, it unfolds across rolling pasture, ancient tussac grass, and quiet shores. Close encounters with wildlife, open skies, and near-complete silence give the island a striking sense of remoteness, while its carefully preserved landscape lends the visit uncommon richness and lasting appeal.
Day 14 West Point Island, Falklands
In the Falklands’ far west, West Point Island delivers a memorable blend of dramatic coastal scenery and remarkable birdlife. Clifftop colonies of black-browed albatross and rockhopper penguins dominate the headlands, while the island’s farmhouse hospitality adds warmth to an otherwise wild and wind-shaped environment. It is a place where the journey ashore feels rewarding almost immediately: raw, beautiful, and alive with constant movement; seen from the ship and explored ashore, it leaves a vivid impression of place, history, and atmosphere.
Day 15 Port Stanley
Port Stanley is the capital of the Falkland Islands and one of the most improbable small towns on Earth, a settlement of brightly painted corrugated-iron houses set against a treeless landscape of extraordinary windswept beauty. Red telephone boxes and a cathedral with a whalebone arch give it an unmistakably British character, but the surrounding wilderness is pure Patagonia. Colonies of Gentoo Penguins nest within walking distance of the harbor; Striated Caracaras and Upland Geese are constant presences. History, wildlife, and silence coexist here in an atmosphere found nowhere else.
Days 16-17 At Sea
Day 18 Puerto Madryn
Puerto Madryn, founded by Welsh settlers in 1865, is Argentina's gateway to the Valdés Peninsula. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is where southern right whales congregate to breed between June and December, sharing the reserve with elephant seals, orcas, and Magellanic penguins. The town itself preserves its Welsh heritage in traditional tea houses and estancias still run by Patagonian Welsh families.
Days 19-20 At Sea
Day 21 Buenos Aires
Passionate and alive with infectious energy, Buenos Aires blends colonial architecture with Latin American clamour, famed for tango and expertly seared steak. Plaza de Mayo, bordered by the salmon-hued Casa Rosada, has been the stage for fundamental events in Argentine history, while Teatro Colon, the opulent 1908 opera house, is considered one of the world's finest venues. The Cementerio de la Recoleta, honouring presidents and national heroes, is among the city's most distinctive experiences.
