New Years at Blachford Lake Lodge presents an extraordinary opportunity to experience the Aurora Borealis against the pristine backdrop of the frozen northern landscape. In winter, the icy silence of the lake and snow-covered forests amplifies the ethereal beauty of the auroras, which often appear more vivid due to the long, dark nights and crisp, clear skies.
Guests can venture out onto the frozen lake or settle into the warmth of the lodge’s viewing areas to watch as waves of green, purple, and pink dance across the star-studded sky. As spring arrives, the auroras continue to shine brightly, while the returning sunlight softens the landscape, casting a magical glow over the melting ice and snow.
